A New Website Using My CMS

I parked my CMS a while ago.  It had become increasingly bloated, as I had gone overboard with lots of upgrades.  Because of this, it was overcomplicated, both from a user viewpoint and from my own coding viewpoint.  When I attempted to create a new website recently, I worked my way through lots of CPANEL CMS options, including Joomla and Wordpress.  Of the two, Joomla was the more suitable, but I couldn't find a suitable template.  They were out there, but it meant joining some club or other, or was too costly to consider.  Wordpress, on the other hand, was horrible to use as far as I was concerned.  In no time flat, you can end up with problems.  Not for me.  I then tried other CMS, some were flat file, as is my own, but, again, nope.  So, I am back with my own CMS, and I like it.  I have already begun to remove some of the code, redundant code to lighten the load.  It works a treat though, and looks pretty impressive, I reckon.  I can always change the look to suit the new site: it is meant to display news articles.
